Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe

**Ingredients:**

For the Pumpkin Spice Syrup:

- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or a mixture of ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves)

For the Latte:

- 1 cup strong brewed coffee or 2 shots of espresso
- 1 cup milk (any type you prefer: whole, skim, almond, soy, etc.)
- 2 tablespoons pumpkin spice syrup (adjust to taste)
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Ground cinnamon or nutmeg (for garnish)

**Instructions:**

**1. Prepare the Pumpkin Spice Syrup:**

- In a small saucepan, combine the canned pumpkin, granulated sugar, water, and pumpkin pie spice.
- Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and continue to cook for about 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- Remove the syrup from the heat and allow it to cool. You can store any extra syrup in the refrigerator for future use.

**2. Make the Latte:**

- Brew a cup of strong coffee or prepare 2 shots of espresso.

- In a separate saucepan or in the microwave, warm the milk until it's hot but not boiling. Froth the milk using a milk frother or by vigorously whisking it.

- In a coffee mug, add the brewed coffee or espresso.

- Stir in 2 tablespoons (or more, to taste) of the homemade pumpkin spice syrup. Adjust the sweetness according to your preference.

- Pour the frothed milk into the coffee, holding back the foam with a spoon to let the milk flow first.

- Top the latte with a dollop of whipped cream (if desired) and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or nutmeg for garnish.

**3. Enjoy!**

Sip and savor the warm and comforting flavors of your homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte. It's the perfect fall-inspired beverage for cozy mornings or as a treat throughout the day. You can also customize it by adding more or less syrup and adjusting the milk to suit your taste preferences.
